    Devon Allman and Duane Betts are both sons of members of The Allman Brothers Band. Together with Berry Oakley Jr. (son of original Allman Brothers Band bass player Berry Oakley), Johnny Stachela (slide guitar) and percussionists R. Scott Bryan (Sheryl Crow) and John Lum they form the blues rock band The Allman Betts Band .

    Their new album was recorded at the Muscle Shoals Sound Studios, the legendary studio where the Allman Brothers Band, The Rolling Stones, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Aretha Franklin, among others, were at home. The album is produced by Matt Ross-Spang (Jason Isbell, Margo Price, John Prine and Elvis Presley).

    When Piet Van den Heuvel and his band Scooter scored a mega hit in 1981 with the song “You”, the collective press praised the man’s musical qualities.

    Thirty-eight years later Van den Heuvel continues to live as a singer, percussionist, guitarist and composer. The public will also know him as a musician and writer with artists such as Clouseau, The Scabs, many television series and a permanent member of the backing band of Bart Peeters.

    Piet comes to Peer on Friday, July 19 and brings a flight case filled with americana, gospel, soul and roots. Also present are: Mike Smeulders (accordion), Bart Buls (bass), Pieter Doms (drums), Sammy Van den Heuvel (backing vocal), David Piedfort (guitar). One thing is missing: you!
